Communication Designer
During my interdisciplinary education at Goldsmiths, I gained experience working with fashion designers such as Claire Barrow and Christoph Ritter, providing fabrication, artworking, and general studio support throughout 2021/2022. After Goldsmiths, my personal tutor Roberto Feo (1/2 of ‘El Ultimo Grito’), facilitated my introduction to designer Ab Rogers. I subsequently worked with Ab on a contract specific role, designing a first phase document for the NHS, alongside Stuart Bailey and the Design Research Unit+. I’ve undertaken various ad-hoc design roles, spanning pitch proposals for new business ventures and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs).
I now operate as a freelancer, under a variety of exhibition production contexts, alongside new business ventures predominantly in cultural sectors. I am additionally enrolled as an artist on the Conditions Studio Programme based in Croydon, in which I will take on a year long mentorship programme with Yuri Pattison over 2024-2025. Driven by an interest of the thresholds between reasoned and concept-driven design practices, I’ve cultivated a design language that encompasses both macro and micro designed considerations. My previous work explores site-specific narratives and arts based research methodology. I now explore book design particularly through the process of formalising and materialising artist research and thinking.
My approach prioritises delivering robust, succinct, and conceptually rich solutions, while equally respecting requirements and constraints. I explore publishing, typesetting and my own practice-led experiences as methodology of delivering communicative devices that are agents of change.
